In a heartwarming display of international collaboration, the Pokhara Fishtail Rotary Club recently visited Samsara Ghar, where they had the chance to meet the children and engage with the local community. This visit, in partnership with the Fair Lawn Sunrise Rotary Club in Fair Lawn, NJ, marks a significant step forward in fostering stronger connections between the United States and Nepal. Both clubs have been meeting regularly via Zoom, working together to build a sustainable project that will have a lasting impact on the lives of children and families in Nepal.

The visit was a meaningful opportunity for the Pokhara Fishtail Rotary Club members to interact with the children at Samsara Ghar, learn about their stories, and see firsthand the progress that has been made in providing a safe, supportive space for these young individuals. The children’s faces lit up as they welcomed the Rotarians, showing gratitude for the opportunities they now have to thrive in a nurturing environment.

During their visit, the Pokhara Fishtail Rotary Club members also took the time to speak with the local community, discussing the importance of working together to create sustainable and lasting change. The discussions emphasized the role of collaboration between local and international partners, underscoring the power of community in building solutions that address both immediate needs and long-term goals.

The partnership between the Pokhara Fishtail Rotary Club and the Sunrise Rotary Club exemplifies the spirit of Rotary’s motto: “Service Above Self.” By connecting clubs across countries, the two groups are working toward their shared goal of supporting education, health, and sustainable development in Nepal.

The visit also helped strengthen the ties between Nepal and the United States, reinforcing the importance of global collaboration in addressing the needs of underserved communities. Through the ongoing efforts of both Rotary Clubs, Samsara Ghar is becoming not just a home for children, but a symbol of international solidarity and commitment to creating brighter futures for all.

As Samsara Ghar continues to grow, the collaboration between the Pokhara Fishtail Rotary Club, Sunrise Rotary Club, and ARC for Nepal will remain a cornerstone to supporting impoverished children in Nepal. This visit was just one example of how connecting communities across the globe can inspire hope, empower change, and build lasting relationships that transcend borders.
